When the XG80 and XG55 are transmitting with encryption, the memory stick recording feature is disabled for maximum security.  To record an encrypted conference using an external recording device, you will need to take the video from the RGB or HDMI output into the recording device and the audio from the Rec Out output (note this is a mono output).  Alternatively, the regular stereo Audio Out can be connected to the recording device.  The specific configuration will vary depending on the external device that is being used.
