There are several shortcuts available from the remote control during communication and when not in communication.   The purpose of the shortcuts is to enable certain functions without going into the menus to perform them.  For example, during a call, if you press the green “connect” button twice, it will bring up the One-Touch Dial preset buttons (F1, F2, F3, F4) for adding another site to the call.   The full list of remote control shortcuts for the PCS-XG80 and PCS-XG55 are here: Remote Commander Shortcuts.
